Moadon After-School Program

Our Moadon after-school experience, designed for children from Jr. Kindergarten through 7th grade, provides an opportunity for student immersion in Jewish culture, tradition, and Hebrew language through collaborative learning. This program prepares students for a smooth, stress-free transition to becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

Moadon Enrichment courses are offered as a supplement to the Moadon after-school experience, or another Jewish education program within the community, for an additional fee. This second day option covers topics such as conversational Hebrew immersion, “Language Soup” (cooking in Hebrew), Israeli folk and modern dance, creative Israeli art, Israeli music, and hands-on Bar or Bat Mitzvah preparation for grades 5 through 8.

Our Moadon facilitates individualized Bar or Bat Mitzvah tutoring and preparation for a fee. The program includes a private tutor, who works with each student on the chanting of the various parts of the service including the Torah and Haftarah (a portion taken from the prophets or the later writings). More in depth information regarding the variety of ways to celebrate the milestone of becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah is available upon request.

For students in 8th grade and older, we offer the post-Bar or Bat Mitzvah monthly dinner program, “Above & Beyond.” Each session has a unique theme that appeals to high school students and is communicated through various methodologies.

Our fluent Hebrew speaking and highly-skilled teachers and teaching assistants work as a cohesive team to plan and implement the curriculum in our intimate classroom environment. We boast a high ratio of teachers to students, which provides for greater individual attention.
